--- title: Hospitality | Elena Comanici (4) description: I'm Head of Advocacy at illy in the UK, and coffee has become a huge part of both my professional and personal life- although my role is much more than coffee itself. I'm passionate about hospitality, people and creating experiences that people remember. I'm particularly interested in the relationship between coffee, food, hospitality and culture, and in making coffee feel accessible and relevant. At illy, I look after our advocacy and training, working with customers, partners and hospitality professionals to help them get the very best from our coffee and, ultimately, create better experiences for their own customers and guests. A big part of my role is bringing the brand to life. That could mean delivering training sessions at our Universita del Caffe, creating a masterclass or a special coffee serve, developing a new coffee experience for an event, working with hospitality partners, or simply having a conversation about what makes a great cup of coffee. For me, coffee is never just about what's in the cup- it's about the people, the story, the craft and the experience around it.
